Carolyne Van Lierop Boone Announces First Single from Forthcoming Solo Project

Fancy Gap, VA (October 14, 2026) - Mountain Fever Records is thrilled to announce that Carolyne Van Lierop Boone is stepping into a new chapter with the release of “Leave Me Lonely,” the first single from her forthcoming solo project. The song offers a first glimpse into a project that showcases Carolyne’s distinctive voice, banjo playing, and love of traditional bluegrass, while bringing together an incredible lineup of musicians and longtime friends.

The idea for “Leave Me Lonely” came to Carolyne on a cold winter night while driving home from work. She began imagining what it might be like to be snowed in alone in a cabin high on a mountain, separated from the person you love. What started as a simple wintertime daydream became a story about loneliness, longing, and, ultimately, hope. The song captures the feeling of being alone in that quiet, isolated place while holding onto the hope that the snow will finally clear, allowing you to leave the solitude behind and reunite with the love of your life.

For this first release, Carolyne is joined by a stellar lineup of musicians, including her husband, Troy Boone, on mandolin, Aaron Ramsey on guitar, Jeff Partin on bass and dobro, and Amanda Cook on harmony vocals. Carolyne handles lead vocals and banjo, bringing the song together with a performance that feels both intimate and deeply rooted in bluegrass tradition.

This single marks the beginning of Carolyne’s forthcoming solo project, giving listeners their first taste of what she has been creating outside of her work with The Amanda Cook Band. With close friends and some of the finest musicians in bluegrass alongside her, the project promises to showcase another side of Carolyne as a vocalist, banjo player, and songwriter.

“Leave Me Lonely” is available today on all major streaming platforms.
