The Churchmen

The Churchmen are a beloved Bluegrass Gospel group from Collinsville, Virginia, whose ministry began in 1989 singing in local churches. For more than three decades, the group has shared their music and message across the country and abroad, combining traditional bluegrass instrumentation with rich Southern Gospel four-part harmony.

Made up of five Christian men who each feel called to music ministry, The Churchmen are passionate about creating music that not only honors their faith but also connects with audiences through heartfelt songs, powerful harmonies, and the unmistakable sound of bluegrass.

The group’s music has earned national recognition, including Dove Award nominations for Bluegrass Album of the Year and Bluegrass Gospel Song of the Year. Their releases have also received significant radio airplay and chart success on the Bluegrass Today, Roots Music, and Singing News charts.

With numerous albums and years of ministry behind them, The Churchmen continue to carry their message of faith, hope, and encouragement to audiences everywhere. Their latest release, Will You Be Going, continues that tradition with heartfelt gospel songs rooted in the timeless sound of bluegrass.

Mountain Fever Records is proud to announce the release of The Churchmen’s new single, “Maker’s Mark,” a compelling story of redemption, faith, and personal transformation. Inspired by a true-life journey from struggle to salvation, the song weaves a powerful message of hope through the unmistakable sound and heartfelt harmonies that have become a signature of The Churchmen.

Written by Conner Lambert, “Maker’s Mark” draws from his own journey of overcoming addiction and finding hope through faith. The song uses a powerful play on words, connecting the familiar red seal found on a Maker’s Mark bottle with the far greater meaning of the redemptive seal represented by the blood of Christ shed on the cross.

“Maker’s Mark” features the signature sound of The Churchmen, with Greg Jones on lead vocals and mandolin, Keith Souther on guitar and harmony vocals, Keith Clark on bass and harmony vocals, Jay Adams on banjo, and Christian Gillikin on fiddle. Together, the band delivers a heartfelt performance that brings the song’s powerful message of faith, redemption, and hope to life.
