Mike Mitchell

With deep roots in bluegrass and influences ranging from J.D. Crowe and The New South to Tony Rice and Sam Bush, Mike Mitchell has built a career that honors the past while forging new ground. His critically acclaimed album Small Town debuted at #2 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart, and his standout release Fathers & Sons spent over a year on the Bluegrass Unlimited charts, producing three #1 singles.

Beyond the studio and stage, Mike is a highly respected educator and mentor. He leads engaging workshops for musicians of all levels, serves as the owner and operator of the Floyd Music School, oversees the IBMA Songwriter Mentor Program, and is a proud alumnus of the IBMA Leadership Bluegrass program

“Mike brings a rare combination of artistry, authenticity, and heart to the bluegrass world,” says Amanda Cook of Mountain Fever Records. “His commitment to both artistry and community is inspiring, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with him for this next chapter in his career.”
