Bryan McDowell

Long recognized as one of bluegrass music’s most distinctive and electrifying sidemen, Bryan McDowell steps into the spotlight with his first solo project. After years of performing alongside artists including Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Claire Lynch, John McEuen, and others, Bryan takes on a new role as a composer, lyricist, and vocalist.

His 2025 self-titled release features eight original songs and tunes rooted in the traditions of bluegrass while offering a fresh perspective on working-class life and the world around him.

Bryan brings this new music to the road with an all-star ensemble featuring Mark Schatz, Jacob Jolliff, Jake Stargel, and Matt Menefee. Together, they create a dynamic combination of masterful musicianship, powerful vocals, improvisation, and groove—making this a tour built for bluegrass fans who like their music adventurous and alive.
