A veteran of the bluegrass world, Barnes has built a remarkable career performing with artists including Lou Reid & Carolina, Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, Marty Raybon & Full Circle, Larry Stephenson Band, Josh Williams Band, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, and Newfound Road. He is currently a member of Fast Track. Now, this new collection gives listeners the opportunity to hear Barnes front and center, showcasing his talents as a lead vocalist, harmony singer, guitarist, and bassist.

This album is a collection deeply rooted in traditional bluegrass, featuring a mix of heartfelt songs, timeless classics, and energetic favorites. From the emotion of “No One Here to Love Me Now” and “Waves of Sorrow” to the drive of “Whistle Pig” and the classic bluegrass feel of “Can’t You Hear Me Calling,” the album highlights Barnes’ versatility while remaining firmly grounded in the music he has dedicated his life to. Randy’s Self-Titled album features an impressive lineup of musicians, including Barnes’ brother Danny Barnes on mandolin and harmony vocals, along with Elmer Burchett, Dillon Abney, Jeff Partin, Jason Barie, Chris Davis, Randall Conn, Gibson Davis, Scotty Fields, Bobby Masters, and Kati Penn-Jenkins.

Engineered by Danny Barnes at Olde Town Studios in Berea, Kentucky, the album was produced by Randy Barnes and Danny Barnes, with Jeff Partin handling mixing and mastering.
