After decades spent lending his voice, musicianship, and unmistakable bass playing to some of bluegrass music’s most respected bands, Randy Barnes is stepping into the spotlight with his new self-titled album, Randy Barnes.

A veteran of the bluegrass world, Barnes has built a remarkable career performing with artists including Lou Reid & Carolina, Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, Marty Raybon & Full Circle, Larry Stephenson Band, Josh Williams Band, Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers, and Newfound Road. He is currently a member of Fast Track. Now, this new collection gives listeners the opportunity to hear Barnes front and center, showcasing his talents as a lead vocalist, harmony singer, guitarist, and bassist.

This album is a collection deeply rooted in traditional bluegrass, featuring a mix of heartfelt songs, timeless classics, and energetic favorites. From the emotion of “No One Here to Love Me Now” and “Waves of Sorrow” to the drive of “Whistle Pig” and the classic bluegrass feel of “Can’t You Hear Me Calling,” the album highlights Barnes’ versatility while remaining firmly grounded in the music he has dedicated his life to.
