Mountain Fever Artists Front & Center
Mountain Fever Records’ artists are front and center these days with television and radio appearances, chart-topping hits and event performances across the country.
Sylva, NC based Mountain Faith has been gaining national attention as of late with their performances on NBC Television’s America’s Got Talent. The band has been appearing regularly on the show since June and have taken temporary residence in New York City for performances at Radio City Music Hall for the semifinals. Last night, the band again perform live before a television viewing audience in hopes of being voted through to the next round. If Mountain Faith continues to the finals, they will have a chance at a grand prize of $1,000,000. The results show will air tonight 8:00pm ET. No matter what the outcome, Mountain Faith has no doubt represented all of bluegrass music very well to a very large audience. The Churchmen have been appearing regularly on two shows on two television networks since June; Great American Gospel on Daystar Network and American Gospel Onstage on the NRB Network. Both shows air on Saturdays at 5:00pm and 6:30pm ET, respectively.
Song and album charts have been flooded with music from Mountain Fever artists. The Spinney Brothers are leading the pack this month with “My Music Comes from Bill,” which is #1 on the National Bluegrass Survey’s Top 30 Songs chart. The single is from their Tried & True album, which is currently #7 on the Top 15 Albums chart. The National Bluegrass Survey’s Top 30 Songs chart also includes Volume Five with “King of California” at #7, Adkins & Loudermilk with “Georgia Mountain Man” at #15 and “Backside of Losing” at #23, and Sideline at #21 with “Mountain Girl.” The Top 15 Albums chart also includes Adkins & Loudermilk’s self-titled release at #10, Voices by Volume Five at #12 and Session 2 by Sideline at #15. Adkins & Loudermilk, The Spinney Brothers and Volume Five also appear on this month’s Bluegrass Today Monthly Songs chart as well as SiriusXM Bluegrass Junction’s Most Played Tracks chart which also featured Breaking Grass and Sideline. Also continuing to make their mark on various charts this summer are Gold Heart with their recent release Places I’ve Been, and Detour who are still charting with their 2014 release, Going Nowhere Fast.
Nominees for the IBMA and Dove Awards were announced recently and we are thrilled to announce Adkins & Loudermilk, Mountain Faith and Volume Five are nominated for IBMA’s Emerging Artist of the Year. Additionally, Volume Five are among the Dove Award nominees for Song of the Year with “Daddy Was An Old Time Preacher Man.”
Adkins & Loudermilk will be hosting their first bluegrass festival when the BooGrass Bash launches in October in Anderson, SC. The three-day, indoor bluegrass festival will run October 29-31, and feature performances from top acts, a Halloween costume party, a band competition with $3,000 in prizes, and a variety of youth activities.
