Cory Walker – Far Away Again

“Far Away Again” is a new single from banjo picker, Cory Walker, released today on Mountain Fever Records. This is the first single from Cory’s upcoming album, School Project, releasing later this year.

“Far Away Again” was written by Cory’s brother Jarrod Walker and co-writer Christian Ward, who also composed the current International Bluegrass Music Association’s Song of the Year, “Red Daisy” by Billy Strings.
“My brother Jarrod and mutual good friend Christian Ward are truly some of the greatest writers today. When I first heard a demo recording of ‘Far Away Again,’ I knew I wanted to ask Tim O’Brien to sing it on my record. Tim said he dug it. Soon afterward, we recorded it at Stargel Studios. Musicians on the track include Tim O’Brien on vocals and guitar, Dennis Crouch on bass, Harry Clark on mandolin, Billy Contreras on fiddle, Gaven Largent on resonator guitar, and myself on banjo,” said Cory.

Cory is a member of the popular Nashville-based band East Nash Grass which received a 2022 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Momentum Award Nomination for Band of the Year. Music fans can catch a live performance by East Nash Grass every Monday at Dee’s County Cocktail Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee.
