Aaron has been working with Mountain Fever for years, acting as a recording engineer at the studio in Virginia. Originally from Morgantown, North Carolina, he started playing the mandolin when he was twelve years old in a Gospel bluegrass band called Damascus Road with his father, Michael Ramsey. In 2002, at the age of 17, he joined the Linville Ridge Band playing the mandolin and guitar. He started his own solo project in 2004, titled Aaron Ramsey, and released another solo album in 2013, titled Gathering.and two years later joined Randy Kohrs and the Lites. He joined Mountain Heart in 2007, and stayed there until joining Volume 5.
