THE WAIT IS OVER … From Jett’s Creek

JC600The wait is finally over as the tight family harmonies and original material of the 6-piece bluegrass unit known as Jett’s Creek comes to the forefront with their Mountain Fever Records release of The Wait Is Over, the band’s first release on the Virginia based label.
The band’s collection of traditional bluegrass tunes woven with inspiring harmonies helped launch their first national album release, Supposed to Be in 2008.  The group released Guilty to high praise in 2010.  The California Bluegrass Association said Jett’s Creek has “stirring vocal harmonies and carefully blended instrumentation” and WorldWideBluegrass.com calls their sound “authentic and doing justice to what bluegrass is all about.”
Jett’s Creek founding member, Angie Young, believes strongly in the solidity of this new project.  “The thing I am most proud of on The Wait Is Over is the song selection,” she says.   “There is literally something for everybody whether you are a fan of traditional or more contemporary bluegrass music.”
The band brought in Clay Hess to produce the project and he turned out to be the perfect fit and missing link as he brought his touch to blending what each song needed to their sound.  “When we set out to find material we looked for songs that really spoke to us,” Angie adds.  “Some challenged us more than others.”
The Wait Is Over was released digitally in September.  As a special one time, one week only offering, Mountain Fever Records is making the album available for download, along with the album art and liner notes.   For more information about Jett’s Creek, please visit www.jetts-creek.com or contact Mountain Fever Records by visiting www.mountainfever.com
